SheBuilds: 60 women built real products with AI in one day

Why this event?

Walk into almost any AI event and the room skews male. The industry's loudest names are all men: Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Dario Amodei. Female CEOs, founders, and AI researchers remain barely visible.

On March 8, International Women's Day, we set out to change that. Together with Maide Altas and Lovable, we hosted the first SheBuilds Experience at CREATORS Space Stuttgart.

What is SheBuilds?

SheBuilds is a one-day mini hackathon that requires zero programming skills. Using Lovable, an AI tool that turns ideas into working apps, every participant could ship a real product before going home.

What you needed:

• A laptop
• A Lovable account
• Motivation

What you didn't need:

• Coding experience
• A polished idea
• Hackathon experience

The numbers

The response exceeded every expectation:

• Over 60 sign-ups
• 80% women among participants
• Dozens of bold ideas turned into real, working products — in just one day

Every participant received unlimited Lovable credits for the day, plus 100 Claude credits, 100 Stripe credits, and 100 Lovable credits to keep using afterwards.

Highlights

CREATORS Space Stuttgart provided the perfect setting: a modern loft with industrial charm where creativity filled every corner. Coffee, drinks, and snacks kept the energy flowing. Lovingly packed goodie bags added an extra touch.

What truly amazed us was the execution. Every single woman who showed up brought an incredible idea, and actually shipped something tangible. That combination of creativity, technical curiosity, and bias toward action is exactly what innovation looks like.
